Maree Nichols was born at Camperdown and was adopted when she was 18 months old by a family who already had five adopted children. Maree became the last child to join the family.
Her parents settled in Prospect where her Dad established his building career. There he built the family home while her mum was kept busy maintaining the house and looking after the family.
Maree attended Prospect public school and Mitchell high school. After completing her secondary education she found employment at the local Red Lea Chicken Factory, where she worked for a number of years. When she became pregnant she resigned from this job to focus on becoming a mother, and as a single mum Marie did her best to give her beautiful daughter the greatest start in life.
Maree showed great courage and determination through her challenging years as a single parent; while her daughter was at school she took the opportunity to study, which enabled her to return to the workforce by the time her daughter attended high school. Maree took on part time positions in different lines of work such as, Food Demonstrating, Merchandising and working in Real Estate, where she really enjoyed the experience of success in selling a number of houses. As time passed she accepted a position as receptionist for West Bus Girraween, and was employed there for 5 years.
Maree Nichols’ achievements include: a certificate in real estate, completing part of a law degree, and her current position as a Real Estate Agent in an office which just received the award of Best Real Estate, in the Blacktown Business Awards. More to the point and all this aside, Marie says, “My daughter is the greatest of all my achievements”.
Maree who serves at her local church cafe, also volunteers her time in serving the Community. She reaches out to the homeless and needy, provides help to those in Housing Commission areas; gives encouragement, confidence, assistance and hope to others by enabling them to work towards achieving a better lifestyle. She empathises with people because of her own struggles and life experiences, and feels she can be a voice that speaks truth into the lives of those less fortunate because she knows, all to well what it’s like. Maree loves people and she loves connecting with new people from diverse backgrounds on a daily basis. Her desire is to speak up on behalf of those who cannot speak out for themselves. She shows great leadership qualities to people that are struggling in hardships by egging them on to make a better life for themselves, just as she has done.
Ms Maree Nichols having real enthusiasm and a heart for her community and state, has a strong passion for Justice and Freedom of speech so that her nation might prosper to its full potential, remaining strong in mateship and the Australian way of life, creating growth and resources here at home.
Maree, is excited about standing as a Senate candidate for Rise Up Australia Party in NSW and looks forward to making a difference in the coming 2019 elections.
