House of Representatives Candidate for O’Connor, WA
Stephen Carson was born in Victoria in 1958, one of six children. He grew up on a dairy farm and he, along with his family, moved to Western Australia in 1973.
He went through to middle high school in Victoria before becoming an apprentice Carpenter & Builder in Mount Barker. Since completing his apprenticeship, Stephen has worked as a qualified Carpenter & Builder and established his own successful business in this field.
The family lived in Mt Barker for many years where Stephen helped raise his four children and he is now the proud grandparent of one.
Several year s ago Stephen made the move to Perth where he has been busy re-establishing his Building business.
In order to keep fit, Stephen enjoys walking, cycling and jogging. Singing (but only in a group) is a favourite pastime too. He has a heart for people and likes meeting and helping them where possible.
Stephen has been an elected member of the Plantagenet Shire Council where he served the community faithfully.
Stephen is concerned about the onerous taxation stipulations and the number of tax points that makes things so much about fees and taxes and less about service, and believes these can be simplified.
He also wants to see the Government take back the authority of the banking system so the Australian people are served, not foreign shareholders.
Stephen is passionate about “Keeping Australia Australian”. To this end he would like to see some requirements put in place; such as only allowing entry to migrants into the country who truly desire to be “Australian”, limiting and reducing foreign ownership of Australian assets, and making it easier for our farmers and manufacturers to operate and compete with imports.
Stephen Carson is standing for Rise Up Australia Party in Electorate of O’Connor.
