Brian Clare was born in 1943 in the town of Oberon in NSW and is now living in Thornton North West of Newcastle.
Brian was educated in Catholic primary schools and at Marist brother’s secondary college, Darlinghurst, Sydney. He did his accountancy certificate at the Crow’s Nest technical college in Sydney, and then he upgraded to an accountancy degree in business studies and worked as a commercial accountant until his retirement, a few years ago.
Brian is married to Lorraine and has three children, 4 step children, 7 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In his younger years, in the1960’s Brian put in 2 years’ service with The Army Intelligence – Reserves – at Middle Head Mosman. He has been Secretary /Treasurer of the Australian Intelligence Corps Association – NSW; is a member of the Hornsby Sub-Branch of the NSW RSL, and he marches every year with his Association in Sydney on Anzac Day.
A friend recommended that he should join rise Up Australia Party (after another party he was interested in failed to register) because of his interest in the Constitutional Law, Government and Parliamentary reform.
Brian is a lobbyist and is personally calling for the implementation of CIR – ‘Citizens Initiative Referenda’ into the constitution making it a requirement of the parliamentary process. CIR is the opportunity for citizens to have the final say on registration before it gets signed off by the Governor General and becomes law.
Brian Clare is honoured to represent the Rise Up Australia Party in this coming election; he strongly agrees with, and supports all of their policies.
