Why should Rise Up Australia Party run a Candidate for the New England by-election?

The short answer is: We found a passionate, down to earth man in Donald Cranney, who is prepared to work hard to MAKE FARMING GREAT AGAIN in this country. Donald, who owns two farming properties, recalls the days when his beloved homestead was the hive of activity. Today it remains empty and in need of repair, but he has neither the funds or the purpose to give it the attention it requires to bring it up to its former glory. Donald, his wife Sue, his son Mark, and his family are farming a property on the QLD New England boarder. Donald chats with RUAP National Secretary Yvonne Gentle, on his farm in QLD. The electorate of New England can be seen on the other side of the river. Donald Cranney points out to Yvonne where his electorate begins. One of the highest costs in farming is the fencing and maintenance of property. Donald points to the fencing requirements necessary to keep vermin out of his property. Donald on the road to his New England By-electorate. Run-down buildings in a small town that once serviced a prosperous farming community, speaks volumes - no one has the will or the money to repair them now and for what? Abandoned shops are becoming a familiar sight in rural communities. Donald stands in front of a street of empty shops, only the Post Office remains.     Why we care about New England!! Australian farmers have had a raw deal for many years. Increasing taxes, imposed levies, costly water rights and cheap poor-quality imports have reduced the likelihood of primary producers receiving fair prices for their ongoing endurance and hard work. As result land owners are selling up because they can't make a living; employment is diminishing in the agriculture industry as farmers opt to put their families to work; population is reduced which puts businesses out of work and closes schools, hospitals and other facilities. Once thriving towns and communities are dying as the rural dwellers move to the city leaving their once prospering farms with empty shells for houses, rundown, dry, and unproductive. It is so heart wrenching for some, especially generational land owners, who are seemingly abandonment by the Government. Despair transfers to hopelessness. The debt becomes more than they can bear, which leads to suicides. Rise Up Australia Party cannot accept this situation and strongly supports Government subsidies for farmers and the agricultural industry.  Our policies are, that we need to support those in our nation who feed and clothe us, provide employment and boost our economy. We believe that the good people who put the effort in should be the beneficiaries of their own hard work. Our farming communities are the socio economic groups who have made Australia great and given our country a name for producing the finest and highest quality beef, lamb, wool, small crops, wine and citrus fruits, just  to name a few. Australian produce is renowned for its quality and is sort after around the world. RUAP will endeavour to ensure that Australian Farming and Produce remains at a very high standard and that its communities prosper. We are committed to investing into our farmers and the vital agricultural industry. Donald Cranney is the RUAP candidate for New England because he understands the seriousness of dying communities. He is a hard-working man of the land who has witnessed Australian farming prosper in prime agricultural times and desires to restore what has been lost.   If you can help Donald at Polling booths etc. Please call Mark on: Mobile 0413 161 830   Written by Yvonne Gentle Rise Up Australia Party 0414 870 453 ...

WHAT NOW WITH  SSM?

It was disappointing last week to receive the news that the Australian people who voted  in the survey on whether we should change the definition of marriage, supported the inclusion of SSM into the laws that define marriage. Our members may be saddened  and feel disheartened by this result as was our initial reaction; however Let's  be encouraged as there is still a large percentage that supported  the true value of Marriage. Also, remember 20% or more did not vote. This was not necessarily because they did not care; many did not receive their letters or they were lost and others were not sent. We were informed by the NT, their were entire communities of 'No' voters that were not given the opportunity to have their say because of their location. And on the other hand, there were 'Yes' voters who boasted of having voted several times by raiding mailboxes to obtain extra surveys. Although this is disturbing to hear, we can take heart in the knowledge that the 'No' result would have been higher had there been a more secure process in place such as a referendum. There fore we do not believe that a war has been fought and lost, but rather, there are still many battles yet to address. Protection of Freedom of speech, religion, conscience and parental rights now need to be ensured. Malcolm Turnbull spoke regarding this just two months ago. "I just want to reassure Australians that as strongly as I believe in the right of same-sex couples to marry, even more strongly, if you like, do I believe in religious freedom,”  However there are now some in parliament who wants to rush ahead and vote the SSM law in before Christmas, while the protection of our freedoms are discussed at some future undetermined date. We encourage our supporters to contact your local federal MPs, senators and representatives and urge them to take action. Let them know Turnbull needs to stick to his word, and parliament needs to ensure that all people's freedoms are protected. Opponents to ssm are already being targeted ..... An extract from a Marriage Alliance report: 'On the very evening of the survey result, “Belinda”, an outspoken “No” voter who owns a beauty salon in Perth received a gay wedding request. That’s right, same-sex marriage legislation hasn’t yet passed, and our freedom to conscientiously object is already being challenged. Belinda received a booking inquiry on her salon’s Facebook page from gay couple Brad and Chris for “a full body wax to make our honeymoon extra special”... Belinda says her Catholic faith prevents her from endorsing a gay wedding:' So What happens next, and what can we do?                         It has been announced by the PM and the  Attorney-General that a Bill will be voted on  by Christmas! And ... Victorian Liberal Senator James Patterson has released a draft Bill which will be taken to the Coalition Party room when it next meets, in less than two weeks, to decide on the Bill to be put to the parliament. This Bill, (The  Marriage Amendment and Definition and Protection of Freedoms Bill), is a better alternative to the Bill released by WA Liberal, Senator Dean Smith, which has only narrow protections for marriage celebrants around the solemnising of same sex marriages. On the other hand, the Patterson Bill does open up for debate major areas of concern about the impact of changing marriage. For instance, what will happen to the rights of Australians with traditional Judeo-Christian values who believe that  marriage is the union of a man and a woman, and don't wish to be part of any transaction, business or otherwise that involves them with                 SS Marriages. The AFA (Australian Family Association) suggests that people should, ..... "Urge the Senators from their states to reject the Dean Smith Bill as it does not adequately protect the freedoms of all people. Over the years Australian society has strived to have freedoms and laws that accommodate pleasure, greed, and success.  Not realising that the basic, real freedoms such as freedom of speech and conscience, are slowly being eroded away. If we now throw in a legal right to homosexual marriage, and outlaw the right of people to have an opinion because it could offend someone, the powers that be, will be unstoppable as they cracks down on all opposition. Who will suffer the most? Families, Children,  Real Christians, and those of other faiths who want to practice their beliefs according to the teachings of the the faith they belong to. Also all those who believe in the natural order necessary for civilisation to continue and prosper. If you are one of those people that is nodding their head right now, then your work is far from finished. In fact it has really just begun. We urge you to do your research, write to your MPs and Stop the Dean Smith billing in favour of the Patterson Bill. What will happen next will only happen because we have allowed it to. If you are a Christian you need to stop leaving it all to God, and start standing up for your Christian values, because .... "This is ultimately about a full-fledged war on Christianity itself. That is the endgame here, and that is what all believers should be deeply concerned about. As David French rightly put it, “The battle is not between gay rights and religious liberty—although religious liberty is certainly at stake—but between the sexual revolution and Christianity itself.”  -   Bill Muehlenberg.A quote from Lyle Shelton (ACL) "This ssm plebiscite result is just the beginning of a new phase – we are never without hope. Donald Cranney Biography: Candidate for New England

Donald Graham Cranney was born in Goondiwindi on the first of March, 1945. At 6 years of age his father had a serious heart attack and was told if he kept working on the land he would be dead in nine months. He therefore decided to retire to Toowoomba, but his retirement lasted only three weeks! He returned to the farm and died when Donald was 15 years of age. At school, they had high standards and if you couldn’t get 8 out of 10 you would receive the cane. It wasn’t until years later that the condition called dyslexia was discovered. For grade 7 and 8 Donald attended the Church of England Preparatory School in Toowoomba. It was through the different teaching methods, sporting opportunities, and positive productive relationships at this school that Donald gained confidence and enhanced learning which enabled him further sporting opportunities. Donald Cranney from Yelarbon is the Rise Up Australia candidate in the New England by-elections

Members and Friends, We are very excited to inform you that a member, Donald Cranney from just north of the QLD boarder is going to run In the New England by-election for Rise Up Australia Party. Donald is a true blue Aussie and a passionate farmer who loves the land and cares about what is happening with the ecosystem of Southern QLD, Northern NSW, inland Australia and indeed the whole nation. As Reported by the ‘Moree Champion’ and the ‘Goondiwindi Argus.’ Donald Cranney from Yelarbon is the Rise Up Australia candidate in the New England by-elections Donald Cranney is the candidate for Rise Up Australia in the New England by-elections following his decision to run on Saturday. On his way to Armidale to register his candidacy, he stopped by our offices and left us an article about how to foster prosperity in the region and how an inland rail line to Gladstone could help in this direction.    Eight million people out of the 16 million people who live along our eastern and southern Australian coastline could be facing food shortages over the next five to ten years if the radiation from the Fukushima reactor keeps annihilating the fish stocks in the northern Pacific and possibly southern Pacific Oceans. Asian countries who are now exporting to Australia will, in the future have to import huge quantities of food from Australia, driving prices through the roof. Australia is committed to free trade deals with the Asian countries, who are investing heavily in prime farming land and water in Australia. These countries know what is happening in their own back yard. So should we. “Please check with my Google.” The problems as I see them. (1) The route from Goondiwindi to Brisbane port has to cut through several ranges, tunnels have to be constructed, adding huge costs and disruption to traffic flows in and around Brisbane, to get to the port. Ipswich road, Logan City bypass and port connection roads are congested to the maximum now, without the extra freight from high speed trains, being adding to them. (2) The cost of building the railway from Goondiwindi to Brisbane Port is going to cost more than the cost of building the railway from Melbourne to Goondiwindi! (3) The proposed route from Yelarbon to Wellcamp and on to Brisbane cuts through some of the most fertile small farming areas on the Darling Downs and Gatton districts and is causing great concern to these farmers and small towns. It also cuts through and across the Condamine River and major highway systems connecting Queensland’s population to the south. The Newell/Cunningham/Gore highways will be known as “the highways from hell” if rail crossings are incorrectly constructed. Trucks, Grey nomads, Golden oldies and tourists will find different routes. is this a wise move to the future as population in these are areas also on the increase? (4) I have been farming for over 50 years and our family for nearly a hundred years. Never in this time have I seen so few 20-30 year olds coming on to put their “hand to the plough” as is happening now. The average age of farmers is now over 60. No farmers, no food. My reasons for going to Gladstone are as follows. (1) Goondiwindi district could become an inland port and distribution centre for Australia, as there are six highways leading out of Goondiwindi in all directions connectin Miles, Dalby, Toowoomba, Moree, Inverell and St George districts. With my suggestion we would have rail going in four directions. (2) We have the potential for a huge increase in production capacity in the Border Rivers and Condamine River catchments from Kingaroy south to Inverell – west to Wee Waa, north to Boomi, Dirranbandi and St George, north to Miles and back to Kingaroy. Goondiwindi could become a massive packaging and distribution centre employing thousands of people. A small fee would pay for the rail link from Gundy to Miles. Small crops across this area would take over from cotton as the prices rise. Building a freight-only air field in Goondiwindi to shift freight into Asia and distribute goods into South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. These states are investing their taxmoney into the inland rail project, but they are not directly benefitting from this trade opporunity. Please note that there are very little hills and rises to obstruct huge freight lifters out of the Goondiwindi district. (3) Gladstone port is under capacity. New coal mines at Wandoan have been given approval, and with the Billion dollar loan schemes the federal government are offering to other overseas coal companies, the Surat Basin Railway, 450k from Miles to Gladstone, could be started straight away and paid for by coal. The rail link from Goondiwindi to Miles could actually be bulit sooner than the inland rail connection from melbourne to Goondiwindi is completed. The relatively flat terrian from Goondiwindi to Miles should be a breeze in comparison to going through the ranges to Brisbane. (4) When i went ot Gatton College, most of southe-east Queensland’s small crops were ggrown in the Lockyer Valley and around Redlands areas. The sources were our small crops are grown have now changed. South East Queensland main food supplies now come from the Darling Downs, Stanthorpe Bundaberg and imports. 60 per cent of our food is now imported. So as I have mentioned, the Border Rivers, Bundaberg, Fitzroy Basin and north to the Atherton Tablelands, could become the essential food production areas for two thirds of the Australian population, who live in the greater Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne and Adelaide city clusters. If you take in the new free trade agreements into Asia, that have to be honoured, and the shortages caused by radiation, then the inland rail line would become an essential life line to these people as back freight. The north would be able to supply the osuth with out-of-season produce as back freight, boosting northern development. Our family policy has been to survive 40 years of low commodity prices by injecting off farm income into our farming enterprises. We purchased the old Goondiwindi hospital and shifted it out to our property and ran it as a tourist facility. my oldest son loves living on the farm but has had to travel into town to practice as a Vet and is now giving that away to be a teacher. No time with the family! My second son ran a landscaping business to Brisbane before settling in our area to bring up his family. Off farm income again. My daughter married an ex-shearer/farmer-cum-obstetrician practicing on Thursday Island. They work there to purchase enough land in our district to live on and bring up their family. What I am asing is, when are the politicians that are in control going to change their policy, to put our future farmers and food production first before commercial interest? Government policies have been a disaster in the electricity, gas and housing. Please don’t let this happen to our food sector. Please note PM Kevin Rudd destroyed the wheat board, no one-year supply of grain left in reserve! For these reasons, I feel it is straight out common sense to have a fast freight line going straight from Goondiwindi to Gladstone, making this the inland trade route for Australia. It is also closer to ports in Asia. I could be wrong, but what do you think? Donald Cranney Bethel homestead, Yelarbon, Queensland ...

Rise Up Australia Party represented & witnessed the deep collective reflection which defined Australia's enduring determination to this day, to face any challenge, any threat and overcome. President Dr Daniel Nalliah and Deputy President Rosalie Crestani, Western Australia State President Anthony Hardwick along with various other team members and supporters, 55 strong with 3,000 fellow countrymen flanked the ceremonies. The honour shown by Israel, hosting the commemoration was unmatched. A highlight was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech which attended to the layered sensitivities of its significance, reflected in the references to Bible and fearless bravery and stood resolute as a friend to Australia and New Zealand and a steadfast protector of Israel, promising he would continue to defend that which our ancestors miraculously delivered. The crowd stood and cheered the Israeli Prime Minister on; the rapturous applause reflected acknowledgement of his true sincerity. The people of Israel, also highly respectful and jubilant at our presence, all knew full well just what occurred so many years ago, yet echoed through the many decades since, revealed as an important key in returning Israel to their owners the land upon which they tread. Our Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull along with other dignitaries also presented and gave a snapshot of ANZAC memories. Recognition was abound; and just what party recognises Israel? Rise Up Australia Party has a long standing specific policy regarding Israel; we are committed to supporting the State of Israel, and that Jerusalem should to remain its undivided capital. A natural extension of our commitment and support was in our purpose and presence at Beersheba, Israel. The Anzac spirit endures. God bring peace to Israel, New Zealand and Australia ...

Birthday Wishes to Daniel Nalliah

Dear Friends, Daniel celebrates his 53rd birthday on the 20th October. Below is a brief birthday message to our much loved dear friend and Leader of RUAP. Please keep Daniel and his family in your prayers. Born 20th October 1964, Rev Dr Daniel Nalliah celebrates his 53rd birthday. A life of service, hard work, sacrifice, challenges and victories, particularly in the halls of power and the courts of law, in Australia and abroad. Music preaching, prayer & worship, family, friends, the community, and so much more has enriched his 53 years. At the age of 33 years, Pastor Daniel stepped out in faith with his wife Maryse and young family, into full time ministry; so 53years marks 20 years of continuous service for God and Country. As Psalm 27 states: “The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?” This scripture depicts the fearlessness Daniel continuously exhibits through a life of worship and obedience to God. The many comments about Daniel over the years have included: A fathering heart for people, a humble man, a quick forgiver, a fierce protector, a generous nature, thoughtful and caring, one of the most patriotic Australians, full of faith and love. Perhaps one of his greatest achievements is as a devoted husband and father to his three children. Wishing you many more years to come! Happy 53rd Birthday Pastor Daniel Nalliah.
